The slogan for the Bavarian Landesgartenschau which will be held this year in Wuerzburg is "Where ideas grow". It was held at the site of the "Leighton barracks", a former US military base, which has now been transformed into the centre of a new neighbourhood as part of renovations for the Landesgartenschau (LGS).
Uhlmann & Zacher is supporting this year's LGS in Wuerzburg with an electronic locking system for the entire site. The various buildings, which are spread over the 30-hectare area, have been fitted with electronic locking cylinders and padlocks. The organisers of the LGS were very particular that the locking system should be flexible for assigning authorisations at any time. The entire system is managed using the Keyvi management software. With Keyvi, authorisations can be changed quickly and easily, which is an advantage when the staff changes or transponders are lost. Even the handing over of the building after completion of the LGS to other owners, does not pose any problem for the electronic locking system.
Enthusiasts can obtain information about the latest trends in horticulture and landscape architecture at the LGS from 12th April to 07th October 2018. The "Belvedere" panorama platform in particular offers the visitors a splendid view of the entire city as well as of the Marienberg fortress, Wuerzburg's landmark. A high quality residential area with row houses, apartments, a large park and a playground is expected to come up at the site after the LGS.
We thank the organisers of the Bavarian LGS for placing their trust in us and allowing us to support a regional project like LGS in Wuerzburg.
