The ongoing crisis in Ukraine is forcing many people and families to leave their homes and seek refuge in other countries such as Germany. The Asam monastery association of the city of Eggenfelden in the district of Rottal-Inn also took in more than 300 refugees. Unfortunately, there is often a lack of proper room conditions. Due to the lack of locking systems, the monastery could not provide the necessary safety and privacy in order to give these people a new home in which they feel comfortable. Neither locks for the property nor door locks on the rooms were available – so a solution had to be found quickly.
Without hesitation, our partner Lindtner GmbH & Co.KG, based in Eggenfelden, supported the monastery association with an electronic locking system from Uhlmann & Zacher. U&Z provided free electronic knob modules from the repair department as well as other mechanisms with a special discount.
The electronic locking units make an important contribution to improving the safety and comfort of refugees in the monastery's premises. Our locking systems offer a high level of safety and are easy to use.
At Uhlmann & Zacher, we believe that it is our responsibility to help and support in times of crisis. That is why we are proud to do good deeds together with our partners.
