Each year, the SME Union of Lower Franconia gives the Innovation Award to a regional medium sized company that stands out due to its future-oriented focus. We are pleased that Uhlmann & Zacher has won this award this year.
The prize was awarded in the form of a painting made by the artist Harald Schmaußer exclusively for the occasion. Judith Gerlach, Bavarian State Minister for Digital affairs, gave the laudatory speech and presented the award, together with Peter Deppisch of the SME Union, to the two managing directors Martin Uhlmann and Dr. Marc Zacher.
The Innovation Award is given to medium-sized and owner-managed companies, which have established themselves not only locally but also globally. Innovative products are one of the pre-requisites for the award.
All the products of Uhlmann & Zacher are manufactured at the company headquarters in Waldbuettelbrunn, so they are originally 'Made in Germany'. However, the electronic locking units such as locking cylinders, door handles and door fittings are not only found in regional buildings, but in buildings around the globe. The management and the entire workforce can be especially proud of this achievement and of having won the award.
