Uhlmann & Zacher was awarded the prestigious PROTECTOR Award of the publishing house PROTECTOR & WIK for the third time in a row. Innovative products in the fields of video surveillance, access control, hazard detection systems and smart home security are honoured with the trophy. The electronic door fitting with short plate CX6174 was able to come out on top against 27 other products in the access control category. The award-giving ceremony took place on 5th July at the SecurityExpo. Managing Director Dr. Marc Zacher accepted the award and explained the product.
After winning the gold award for the electronic door handle CX6172 and the electronic door fitting CX6174 in the years 2015 and 2016, this year's bronze award represents the renewed recognition for a hitherto unique product. The fitting with short plate is designed for use in fire and smoke resistant doors, because the hole layout exactly matches the standard holes for short plate fittings. With dimensions of 14.7 x 46 x 170 mm, it takes up very little space and can be integrated into almost any door. The unique compact design is characterised by the fact that the entire electronics, power supply and LED indicators are centralised in a minimum space on the door handles. Different handle shapes also allow customised design of the fitting with an elegant stainless steel look.
